It’s factored in, but that doesn’t prevent poor people from sitting in jail


because they are unable to post bail. Here’s a study on it if you’re interested. I won’t hold my breath. The data is a bit old (from 2015) but the average income of somone in jail for inability to make bail is $15.6K

And yes, I want judges to deny bail entirely for people who are a danger to others. Crazy concept I know. Let’s figure out a way to speed up the trial process and get people a fair and speedy trial, but if you’re a danger to society, I want you locked up
