their whole life, and after graduating from high school the only way they can continue to be bullies and meatheads without going to jail is by becoming a police officer.

I do think the majority of police officers are good, decent people who put their lives on the line in service of the public, but there there is clearly a bad element that is drawn to policing and I don't think we do a good enough job screening out the bad apples up front, or weeding them out when they slip through the screening process.

I get that the police have a tough and at times thankless and dangerous job, and I would be pretty fucking annoyed if I was making an arrest and had someone screaming at me while I was doing so, but as an officer, you have to be able to show restraint in those types of situations. It's not like this was a 200 lb man yelling at him he you could perceive it as a threat. There is no reason at all to throw that woman to the ground based on the video I saw.
