Putin DEFINITELY has imperial ambitions for mother Russia, but he's not


stupid.

I've got to think that he's looking at his lack of easy victory in Ukraine and thinking "I need to keep acting tough towards NATO. Rattle the sabre a lot. Try to subvert them and find cracks. But no way in hell am I going to take them on directly."

But even if I don't think he's truly go after NATO and get that alliance in motion, I still think arming Ukraine is the smart thing to do. Someone here either mentioned or linked the "ROI" concept of arming Ukraine, and it made a HELL of a lot of sense. Expose Russian forces as technologically backwards and poorly trained. Bleed their resources in a quagmire. And not even put any American troops in the field.
