Katie made a tactical error on this. If you are going to insult white


trash then do not use a term like anti-intellectualism which some of them may understand. Using terms like parochial and intransigent would allow her to insult them while they remained largely unaware. They would certainly be too unmotivated to research the words. However, all of Maher's audience would completely understand Katie.
