…is not responsible for crafting a bill can pass the Senate for multiple reasons, not least of which is that a bill that could pass the Senate may not (and would not, in this case) pass the House, making such an effort moot.
The House majority doesn’t negotiate against itself, nor should it. It passes bills according the will of the majority of the people’s representatives. The upper chamber can hold a vote on it, but Schumer has not allowed that vote to occur, which I guess is what you call democracy or something.
Alternatively, the Senate can pass its own bill for the House to consider. The Dem Senate has failed to do so.
There is nothing left to discuss. Candidates can now go before voters and make their case. Republicans can say they passed legislation to secure the border, and it was opposed unanimously by Democrats. Democrats can say they passed nothing and are perfectly fine with the ongoing illegal invasion. Voters can decide which option they prefer.
