Position to him, and Trump has signaled to his subjects in the house that he’ll stop aid altogether if elected.

All Putin has to do is wait and cross his fingers, deploy a little disinformation to help his ally, Trump, win the WH, while the house Trumpistani caucus bends at the knee and attempts to destroy Ukraine’s ability to defend itself. Thereby putting it in the weakest possible negotiating position, if it can retain any, by the time Trump (hopefully in Putin’s mind) takes office next January.

Then Trump can continue his project of weakening nato to grease the skids for the remainder of Putin’s empire rebuilding project.
