As far as evidence of his overvaluing fraud, using the tax assessment for mar a Lago as evidence is stupid, but the property was valued as high as $739 million, which is every bit as absurd as the $18 million tax valuation. Even without the restrictive covenants and with the craziness of the Florida market, that property is not worth anywhere near $739 million.

And it's not just Mar a Lago, there were 23 properties and assets that were involved. One New York property was valued using 30K square feet when it was in fact only 10K square feet. Another valuation used the listing values of unsold units to value the property instead of actual sales and failed to account for the fact that many units were rent controlled and would thus have a much lower valuation. They valued another property at DOUBLE the value established by a bank ordered appraisal from just the prior year. He valued a golf property in Scotland based on a 2,500 home development when there was only zoning approval for 1500 homes. He reported cash from partnerships in which he had a minority, non controlling interest and/or for which the cash was restricted under cash balances. There's a 200+ page indictment detailing the full extent of the rampant fraud. It is widespread and ingrained in everything they did.

I've been pretty indifferent about this case and would rather see the focus be on the documents cause and election interference in Georgia as those are far more impactful crimes. But reading through the NY indictment.... damn.... they were out of control with fraudulent, and what they had to know were fraudulent, valuations.
