Bibi does have to go imo, because the only thing keeping him out of the center of the bullseye of Israeli rage is the ongoing war. Bibi’s not the right kind of guy to put his country’s interests above his own, and he can get away with it, because of the intensity of Oct 7 - lots of Israelis feel at least as vengeful as a whole lot of us did after 9/11. 10/7 was many multiples worse, in terms of its deeply personal barbaric savagery. That savagery likely continues against hostages.

On the one hand, anti-Israeli protests which just repeat Hamas slogans are utter bullshit - Hamas is a bigger enemy than Israel, and each innocent Palestinian death is a victory in their minds. People screaming for Israel to stand down would never support such a thing if they or their countrymen suffered an attack on the scale of 10/7. Otoh, how can it help Israel in the end to do exactly what their enemy wants them to do?
