I'm not going to speak to the specific analysis, it looks like some of

those folks do a lot more than DEI... And of that $20m, how much is truly incremental? That would be more interesting. The average is under $80k (but that 255 includes a number of students who may be working part time and / or free).

But I will agree that UVa seems to focus an awful lot of time and attention on this. If even a quarter of that $20m is incremental to DEI, it would probably be too much. IMHO, the University has really over-rotated on this issue, and I have pulled back on my giving to the general fund over the last couple of years as a result. It just doesn't seem like the best use of resources, and It seems like some of this stuff actually further divides v bringing people together. Again, just my opinion.

I suspect that we'll see things snap back in due course though.
