They weren't talented, funny or mildly entertaining. I found some iterations of the new band to be amazing. But it seems like it's been diminished recently and that's recruiting and funding. I can guarantee you I've seen enough Tech/UVA games to hear that their band is quite loud and adds to the environment of their fans. And drowns out ours. The pep band didn't do that, it was just sorta...annoyingly...there.
