I'd actually prefer that ticket to either choice that we have, BUT without them being the R or D ticket, they can't win. Sad, but just a fact.
And given that they can't win, the calculus becomes "If they ran, who do they hurt more?" and I think that the answer to that is "Biden". Them running improves Trump's odd.
And I'm opposed to anything that improves Trump's odds.
NOW....if Machin were to become Joe's VP candidate, and then a few months into the 2nd Biden term, Joe decides to resign, and Manchin picks Romney as his VP, that would be a decent scenario. Obviously it won't happen.
