I actually think the Carroll case was the weakest of the ones I asked about, followed by the Georgia case. The two Smith cases presented so much evidence in the indictments that I have little doubt he is guilty of the crimes he was charged with. The documents case is incredibly clear-cut. Anyone with an SCI clearance who did the same thing would have been in jail the next day--I've had several friends and family members tell me as much. Since the documents weren't declassified (Trump has never argued in court that they were) the same standards have to apply to him.

As far as Carroll, it was from a long time ago, but she had corroborating people she had spoken with at that time. Unless they all perjured themselves, then the case was fairly clear as well. Trump didn't mount much of a defense on the matter, so it was found that the assault occurred. 2 follows very clearly from 1 given what he said about her after she went public. I don't know what her reputation is worth (that was only $11 million per the jury), but the punitive damages were clearly in the ballpark for someone of Trump's wealth and given that he continued to slander her right up until the verdict.
