Solar used to be expensive and now it's the cheapest form of electricity


Given that we need to remove CO2 from the atmosphere in the long run to undo the emissions we're generating now, investing in R&D is pretty important. It has worked well for batteries and solar in recent years. In the long run I think we can get there on carbon capture as well, particularly if it is powered locally by cheap solar and wind.
