Seems the likely result, but you never know. There are some traditional

country club GOPers in the 6-3 majority, all it would take is for two of them, say Roberts and “Kegs” Kavanaugh, to decide Trump and Trumpism are bad, in the long run, for the Republican Party…

They could shiv him (really it’s a question of first impression, it is easy to come up with a justification either way) and pave the way for a better candidate—Nikki probably—with a better chance of beating Biden.

I would love it if a Trump nominee were the deciding vote against him. Probably too much to hope for though (and bad for my preferred candidate, Biden).
