I think the first was a little misguided, largely because it was never

going to get through the Senate. The details should have had us all scratching our heads and asking whether that's what we want our POTUS and proxies doing, but I'm not sure the speaker should have gone through with it. Kind of a waste of energy, and it gives the MAGA crowd (of which you are a part) an additional talking point for the bullshit Trump persecution narrative.

Anyone who didn't think he should have faced charges for calling on his supporters to riot at the Capitol and violently attempt to stop the election proceedings simply doesn't value our core principles or the Constitution of this country. It is hard to debate that fact. The MAGA crowd doesn't even appreciate the irony of (sometimes) flying Old Glory alongside the various Trump, Gadsden and Confederate banners (more often it is just one or more of those flags though). After shitting all over some of the things that make this the greatest nation on earth.

Unfortunately Moscow Mitch wouldn't hold him accountable. Now we will see what happens with a jury of his peers in the criminal proceedings. And some of y'all will vote for him next year.
