Devil’s advocate - that works both ways. Kids signing letters deemed

Supportive of Hamas (some subjectivity there, vs just supporting Palestinians or opposing Israel) are getting doxxed, thrown off campus in some cases, and blacklisted, reportedly, by future potential employers.

Neither side IMO can claim high ground on free speech. We have lost our way on that concept. We insist on suppressing things we don’t want to hear. Instead of answering speech we object to with…more speech. Which is the only way points of view can evolve.

I think there’s a calcification of sorts helping to harden some of these oppressor/oppressed worldviews. How can that ever change if dissent is forbidden? But that problem exists across the spectrum IMO. Everybody loves cancel culture.
