Whether it is a “myth.” I’m not sure what that means, to be honest, but it looks like almost no one “strongly agrees” and the highest percentages who either “tend to agree” or won’t say either way are young minority voters or 14% of Trump voters who may well believe the whole thing was fiction.

W/r/t young minority voters who look like they make up most of the Dem contingent, I suspect there is some nuance rooted in anti-colonialism. It’s hardly a new thing for other minorities to point out that the Holocaust is the only genocide anyone has ever been taught about in school and with its own dedicated museum, but is far from the only genocide, and I would be willing to bet when you parsed out numbers of who thinks the whole thing was made up vs history is heavily biased and no one learns about the various genocides carried out on indigenous people in Africa, Asia and the Americas (or the Armenian, Cambodian, Rwandan, etc. genocides) that it would skew very heavily in that direction.

I’ve heard references to the 400 year black holocaust ever since I picked up my first Public Enemy album in the late 80’s, tbh.
