This is a ridiculous question. Boca is absolutely right.

When I worked at Wendy's at 17, the ONLY non-teens working there were the managers. There was one cashier who was more responsible and was going to NOVA. And I know she was making a little bit more. She moved on to a better job pretty quickly. We've taken a low paying, transient job and turned it into something it isn't.

Fast forward to about 15 years ago and I wound up recruiting a teen from Taco Bell for my company because I'd seen him a few times and liked the way he handled customers and his attitude. Fast food is a starter job unless you are a manager. And even then, they are always looking for something better.

I left the job to work for a landscaping company and made 3x what I made at fast food. Several of the girls that worked there, switched to babysitting and made considerably more.
