Being white? Or Israeli? A victim because one is not white? Or Palestinian? I think it’s very new. How extensively lesson plans for kids actually include spectrums of predeterminations like that is an unknown. But imo there very definitely is a feedback loop in education reinforcing stuff that amounts to illiberalism. The opposite of “content of character rather than color of skin”. Demand for orthodoxy and intolerance for dissent from it (nonconformist speakers being shouted down). Reactions on the left overall towards this conflict are unlike any other in the history of the Mideast conflict. Manifesting in too many stories like this one.

This is not our daddy’s (or ours) “white guilt” or anything. It’s not ‘60s libs standing up for civil rights, which were viewed totally differently back then. Things like black only graduation ceremonies - last time we saw that was when state sanctioned discrimination was ok. It’s brand new on the left.
