Particular needs to confront - the new focus on identity grouping and the use of broad generalizations as a result. All Israelis are evil oppressors and all Palestinians are oppressed victims. Until now, that argument about identity grouping was mostly about lesson plans, which many dismissed as either isolated anecdotes or complete fabrications. I think this massive kneejerk response, which even started as celebrations of the atrocity while it was still underway, before Israel had done anything yet, should show us that this identity grouping focus in education is real. And it has an impact.

Social media is definitely an accelerant. But the bigger problem is these terrible ideas about identity group stereotyping, not just the tech which allows them to spread like wildfire.
