the MAGA 50%+ of the GOP won’t waver one bit in its support. So losing an election won’t change that. He’ll blame the crooked democrats, election fraud, the crooked FBI filled with communists — with of course no evidence for any of it — and his cult of morons will believe him. So the election losses won’t faze them one bit. It’s just more proof of the endless victimhood of their cult leader.

Sure, rational GOP politicians will want him gone, but they can’t afford to lose 50% of the cult, so they’ll try to walk the tightrope of appearing to be rational while being careful not to risk alienating the unhinged lunatic and his cult of moron supporters. If Mitch wouldn’t take the kill shot that was set up for him, I don’t think anyone will.

The only hope is that when trump is gone gone, that there’s no one with the same level of charisma and ability to so effectively appeal to that part of the GOP. Because the maga wing of the GOP, which is the majority of the GOP now, isn’t going anywhere.
