Even 30 years ago, voice imitation was well on it's way to beyond seamless. Now, manufactured video technology is even more mature than the audio was then (and audio wizardry has taken additional huge steps in the past couple of decades). We can be had right now, no doubt.

When you couple that w/our superficial, soundbite attention spans and reflexive nature, it doesn't take much to conjure some really dark possibilities.
