Aren't up to the job of doing the people's work, and we need a different approach. Now maybe that's not a platform to you. And you're right, there are people in the Democratic party, as well as the Republican party, who basically believe what I described. But they are getting marginalized by the extremes on both the left and the right who would rather cut off a testicle than work with the other party and reach a compromise agreement on, well, anything.

I'm fond of saying that what Congress currently lacks is patriots. People who would put the good of the country over their personal ambitions and power. People who are willing to do hard things without concern on what it will mean for their next primary or general election run. People who are willing to put America first, not their careers.
