Basically, Trump can do and say absolutely anything at all he wants, except that he can’t try to harass and intimidate witnesses. If the motion’s granted. Yeah, in Banana republics, the govt always finds itself at the mercy of a judge’s ruling on a motion.

Yeah, you really got your finger on the pulse of what folks mean by “banana republics” - folks accused of harboring and lying about sensitive Nat’l security materials, or attempting to illegally remain in power in the nation’s highest office, are always free as birds, giving interviews unfettered to the media, having lawyers and allies publicly making their case, convincing their party to start an impeachment against his likely next opponent (cuz in banana republics indicted former presidents are always allowed to run for office right after they lose), etc.

And banana republics are so well known for their enforcement of rules against witness tampering, where the defendant gets to make his own case against it, and where, if he loses, he basically gets to remain free and essentially police himself in all his public appearances (which he continues to make without anyone’s interference).

Trumpistan and all its subjects take regular, giant shits all over the constitutional rule of law every time it does this kind of shit, substituting the bullshit fed to it by its phones over our constitutional system of justice in place for centuries. If you clowns get your way, no doubt you’ll do everything you can to turn us into a “banana republic”.
