Honest question though... what woke related issue do you think took their

focus away? I don't remember hearing much controversy at all from a "wokeness" standpoint with this team... other than Fox News running a story that the team stood silently during the national anthem, apparently upset they weren't belting out the national anthem.

I personally find Rapinoe to be an annoying malcontent that just seems angry all the time, but I don't even recall hearing much from her or about her this world cup.

Was there a bunch of woke controversy that I somehow missed. Could the simple explanation be that the team had a lot of young, inexperienced players (9 players made their World Cup debut), and also the rest of the world has caught up with us with women's soccer.
