Probably laziness more than anything. I don’t
think an LLC buys me much other than asset protection… ie if a tenant sued me, they could only go after the assets of the LLC, not my other personal assets, but I have a pretty healthy umbrella policy in place.
I may end up renting out my mother in laws condo that we just inherited, and if I finally feel like I have more time after our renovations are done, I might look to opportunistically add to my rental portfolio. At that point Id likely set up an LLC.
