According to the article it looks like that is mostly driven by bisexuality
so I'm not sure why that would cause you concern about overly aggressive gender affirming care doctors.
The transgender percentage is higher for Gen Z than the other generations, but still very small, and seems to fit more with the general trend of younger people being more willing to be "out" as society becomes increasingly accepting of LGBTQ individuals.
The big driver behind the 20% of Gen Z identifying as LGBT is the 15% of Gen Z that identifies as bisexual (according to the poll), compared to 6% for Millennials, 1.7% for Gen X, and less than 1% for Boomers and Traditionalists.
