I’m a big Dire Straits fan and got the album immediately after


Hearing Money for Nothing on the radio back in my youth. Wound up considering it a very overrated tune.

Alchemy - among others, the live version of Sultans of Swing is a great exhibition of Knopfler’s lead guitar - don’t think I’ve ever heard a lead riff I like more. Complaint from one of my ‘80s Hair Band loving friends - it’s all skill, and no soul. Which I found ironic in a song which includes a complaint about Guitar George not wanting to make it cry and sing.
