That I enforce universally, not just against gay folks or bigoted folks. Same with personal hygiene.
You’re inherently saying it’s ok to draw lines. I think that always gets dicey, as one man’s bigot can be another’s defender of conservative values. Nobody should be able to force me to become friends with people I find objectionable. But the horrible ordeal of simply serving them with little more than stiff civility in exchange for payment seems a tiny price to pay for national unity and civility, which is in free fall. It’s a big, diverse country, and it will find it difficult to continue to stand if it can’t relearn the concept of sharing between folks with very sharp disagreements.
I don’t know if that would prevail in court. But I think it should with anyone looking to reverse our widening national divisions. [Post edited by hoolstoptheheels at 12/07/2022 11:20AM]
