Then, you had historically high levels of ballots dropped off on Election Day, which then undergo a meticulous signature verification process before counting. Trumpies only like that when they think they’ll win.

So, nothing nefarious. Thorough, secure election administration - that’s the real, simple answer to senator Rubio’s question. I suspect he knows that and is joining in the now normal Republican process of casting doubt on elections he fears his cult might lose.

It’s an interesting study in cult behavior. He’s talking about a race where a dynamic, attractive, articulate, fiery campaigner is trailing a flat, wet noodle of an opponent, because voters rejected cult like devotion to a grifter and his extremist efforts to grab power. Why emulate that? The states where repubs really excelled rejected and/or oppose Trumpism. His own state, where chief Trump rival DeSantis won big, and Georgia, where voters came out in droves for Kemp and Raffensperger, but not so much for Trumpie Walker.

Rubio should be celebrating the deeply deliberate approach taken in close races around the country. This is probably a better time even than 1/6/21 to break the cultish fever of Trumpism. You still can’t quit it?
