First, we don't know that the story about the 10-year-old was made up. Second, I provided another example of an 11-year-old rape victim that would pass your Twitter link's "we don't have PROOF of a police report so it must be fake!" test. Third, the whole point is that a 10 or 11 year old rape victim in Ohio would be forced to have a baby or travel to another state if the baby had not been aborted by 6 weeks, when many women - much less elementary school girls! - don't even know they're pregnant.

The issue is with BOTH - the 6 week ban itself AND the fact that there's not even an exception for rape or incest. So many of these abortion laws have various intended and unintended consequences that on the surface may not be apparent. It's important to highlight situations like this that most people find abhorrent to show how awful these laws are because of the real life impact they have on women and girls.

You keep saying "why would people use this story instead of just arguing against a 6 week ban?" - but examples like this story ARE the argument against a 6-week ban as well as against laws with no exception for rape or incest.

I don't know how you can be so sure a 10 or 11 year old would know she's been raped - much less make the connection that she might be pregnant from that AND have the knowledge and ability to report her rape to authorities immediately to somehow get an abortion by 6 weeks.

I don't think a rape victim should be able to have an abortion up until birth, but I do support rape and incest exceptions that are longer than for other pregnancies - especially since many of these laws require an official police report for the exception to apply. The abuse and intimidation by rapists can make it dangerous for victims to act within short time frames, not to mention the time needed to process the trauma as a victim of a violent crime.
