…one wants to project on a source. I’m referring to outright belief/disbelief of — or completely ignoring — information that runs counter to one’s preferred narrative based simply on the source. I remark on the fake news media here all the time, so obviously I’m skeptical of what they publish, but I will still read and consider what they publish on the merits rather than ignore or dismiss it out of hand as false based simply based on the source.
