How so? It was drawn up by two "special masters", one from each party, that
clearly and transparently showed how they set partisan goals aside to do so (after the commission showed they couldn't do that). Not by a single judge. And that map then had to be approved by the entire VA Supreme Court.
It seems the process worked exactly as intended. Allow the kids to play fairly. When they proved they couldn't, let an adult from each party try to be adults. And when they do, let the Supreme Court deem whether they did or not. And the result, as you say, was acceptable. And very commendable according to other impartial observers.
I'm honestly not trying to argue with you, I'm trying to understand why you think this particular process was so partisan, and against the "good faith" of the VA GA that then failed to do it themselves.
