Country until I was alive in the 1960s. You have to be delusional to ask that question. You have to be delusional to think there aren’t hangovers in our society from centuries of harsh discrimination that only ended officially less than a half century ago.

I think you also have to be delusional to think kindergartners would have any reason to think BLM = cops shoot all black people when they encounter them (according to a blurb I saw last week at the end of a NewsHour segment, blacks are 3 times more likely to be shot than whites during encounters with police, although I’m not saying I know that to be the result of an authoritative study, but I don’t know that it isn’t accurate either). The only reason a child that age would make that connection that would be if an adult, like maybe a dad who gets triggered by any mention of BLM, tells them about it. So you can ask that question of those adults if you find any.

This appears to be a private school where parents intend for this to be a recurring theme of their kids’ educations.
