You can live in the real world and go the way of Liz Cheney’s spectacular fall, all but certain to end in her formal excommunication from the cult this year, or you can try to convince the cult that you’re one of them. That you share their fantasy world. But Texas is not monolithic by any stretch and so you catch some heat for that too.

Not an easy line to walk for someone trying to get ahead in the party of undemocracy nowadays.
