attorney's job is to cast doubt on all aspects of the prosecution's case. The prosecution claims he was jogging in the neighborhood. Wearing khakis, no socks and having long toenails all could cast a level of doubt on the claim that he was jogging (not that him going for a walk instead of a jog in the neighborhood is a justification to harass and kill him). Adding "dirty" would be really odd... if the attorney was not reading from the coroner's report. Who knows... maybe it was a dog whistle. I think the more likely answer is an attorney doing her job in a tough case of a racially motivated murder.
