That’s a great story, and frankly why I think the right needs to do a

Better job embracing immigration. For all the rah rah patriotism on the right, nobody seems to realize that people who are coming to this country for what it is - not to change it - probably has very similar values to them. In fact, many/most Latin families have very similar value systems in terms of faith/family to the typical conservative.

Also, if the right wants to be the “party of business/economics” - and they should - the case for immigration is even easier. Not to mention the insanely high proportion of immigrants that come and start a small business of some kind…
