I also don't believe CRT was the issue, I believe the issue was "government knows all". I never saw an ad regarding CRT, but I saw a lot of ads about "well, I don't think parents should be telling schools what to teach". Additionally, remember the book issue, it was the Democrats that tried to make that one book about race. It wasn't, it was about what parents believe is appropriate for their children to be reading in 9th grade.

I think if the Dems believe this is about CRT or race, they are not reading the tea leaves correctly. That may not be the case elsewhere, you may be right in other jurisdictions, but that wasn't the issue in Virginia. It, IMO, is what Democrats want to be the issue, because they too know how to use race in politics.
