Hundreds of millions of doses have been administered. The body of data is

getting pretty large to assuage those concerns. As for effectiveness, no vaccine, not a single one, is 100% effective, which is why you want as many people vaccinated as possible.

People are looking at this all wrong, IMO, thinking about nothing more than the personal risk. As you note that's quite low! They should be looking at it from a societal perspective. Vaccination is a team effort to achieve herd immunity. The people shouting about their freedoms never seem to mention their responsibilities in the context of those freedoms.
