It seemed like a reasonable assessment.

The case isn't that complicated. The defense summation has begun and the argument will be that Chauvin was handling a case following standard police procedures until things went bad and Floyd died. The defense will then argue that the jury cannot be certain beyond a reasonable doubt that Floyd did not die because of drug use and previous health issues.

The prosecution brought in several officers to testify on the first point -- it was not standard. I don't see how Chauvin wins that argument. The best hope of the defense is to hit the mixed medical opinions on exact cause of death.
