Politicians should be working to earn votes with their actions

Not working to earn money with their actions. Money corrupts everything. Small dollar donations that are transparent are clearly better than large dollar hidden donations, but I’m still not a fan. If I donate money, I’m expecting something in return. It’s a version of a quid pro quo.

I donated to Stacey Abrams’ Fair Fight. That was a political donation, even though it wasn’t to a specific candidate. What I expect in return is her organization to work to get people to vote. It’s transactional. I’m expecting something in return. When people donate money, they are expecting something in return. It’s ripe for abuse.
