All this high-sounding flowery free speech nonsense seems

to have dissipated with the onset of Dems exploiting the system better than Republicans (not that I have ever heard you weigh in--so not directed at you here).

Personally, what I really hate the most is dark money, but I surely don't have any qualms about limiting the amount of political donations either. It all lends to additional corruption in the system.

But at a very very minimum, using the system to scrub donor identity is a really, really bad idea. I've no doubt that the recipients of anything over 500,000 know exactly from whom it is and for what they want to accomplish with it post election.
