There are several very successful all-mail vote states providing the roadmap. It has worked for years. I have not heard that NY Is planning for Nov, and can only hope they are behind the scenes. If not, they’re jackasses.

That should be the lesson. Vote by mail can and will of course go horribly wrong if there’s no planning, and no process design. But of course as we saw in Iowa, that’s true of any kind of poll changes done carelessly. We are in a pandemic that creates significant risks for a lot of voting Americans. We should be in an all out effort to put safe mail in voting in place by November 3. States and Washington, DC should be doing that in a coordinated fashion, as a national priority.
