Endless assaults from the bully pulpit of the oval office have a far, far more corrosive effect than some resolution taken up at a state convention that would probably never see the light of day anywhere if it weren't for the fine work of the Daily Caller or Wire or whatever to bring it to us.

Which I'm only half joking about. It isn't a bad thing that they shine a light on this. That is in fact the function of the press - the one that the president assaults each and every time his thin orange skin gets a little scrape on it. That is the point - that's why the president's assaults are so much more profound in how they impact the 1A in our society.

And his supporters don't even appear to see the clear, direct hypocrisy.
