Did we not have ADHD back in the 60s and 70s?


Back then we used the term “hyper” which was almost exclusively for pre teen males. Most, if not all, that I knew seemed to grow out of it especially when steered towards sports in the pre internet pre video game days gone by.

So is it a diagnosis awareness issue or are more kids actually having the disability? My personal opinion is the label is too easily affixed by school administrators in conjunction with the profit goals of big pharma. Yes there are many legit cases treated via medication but far too many frivolous cases persist.
