China, he was approached by traditional allies who offered to join in the effort and he refused, the idea being that he, the great orange deal maker, wants all the credit. I can't say that I totally believe that, as I only saw a talking head saying it, but it is not hard to believe either, given all we know of this clown president.

If he were actually concerned about a particular result with China, we would be in TPP, we would not be in trade disputes with Mexico, Canada, and Europe, and China would be in an isolated position. Instead, which of China and the US is more isolated is becoming an open question. Amazingly.
