Huh? That would be the additional benefit to buybacks for those that hold
their shares, or buy in. A lower fwd PE will lead to more demand and thus further driving up of price (and what the Co is investing in by doing the buyback to begin with). But the Co still has to buy back the shares first. At whatever price those 11M or so shares will now command given the increased demand. You get this isn't the same as issuing additional shares, and then retaining them, right?
