Maybe you can answer the million dollar question: Why TF was this guy put

in charge of Trump's campaign?

He's very clearly a criminal -- now a convicted one. His resume was mostly laundering money for the Russian government to prop up a puppet dictator in the Ukraine. For the last decade or so anyways. He last worked in US politics as a nobody on the 1996 Dole campaign..now he's going to prison.

So why on earth was he running Trump's campaign?

The other part of this is, now we can see if Trump is really willing to abuse his power by pardoning this POS.
