BTW, it's easy to call him a wimp w/o principle, but that's probably unfair

He has friends on the Hill on both sides of the aisle, and had a pretty good reputation as a person. His beliefs and positions on issues haven't made him popular with those who disagree, including me, but I never thought he couldn't stand on his own two feet, no matter what I thought about what he said when he did get up.

Quite a spectacle to see.
