a decent sized company (450+ people). She spent a large part of her day yesterday dealing with complaints from a black employee about racist comments being made around this black employee by a white employee. The white employee was describing his encounter the day before with a bumblebee in the commons area of their office building. He told another employee that, and I quote, "A big black bumblebee chased me around the commons yesterday. I'm sure I looked like a fool running away from it." The black employee was highly offended by this racist comment and wanted to file a grievance. All the parties involved were management level employees. It would be funny if it weren't so sad.
